Why is Campfire free, and will it stay free in the future?
Campfire's vision is to create positive change - to help make things better for people. It's for this reason that Campfire does, and always will, offer a free version of its platform. We offer a couple of different plans so that organisations can get more features and ultimately understand culture better. We revise our plans on a regular basis to ensure we offer the products and services people want and/or need, as well as maintaining a sustainable business model.
Which payment methods do you offer?
Our payment processing is done on Stripe, and we support all major credit cards as well as Apple Pay and Google wallets and a number of international & country-specific payment methods. If you sign up for an annual subscription and plan to spend at least £3,000, we can invoice you annually.
We want to cancel our subscription. How can we do that? Do we get a refund?
Admin members can change the subscription level, and downgrade to the free subscription immediately. If there is more than one day until your renewal date (of your paid subscription), then we will adjust the remaining balance on your account pro-rata and hold it for your team as a credit. This can be used towards any reactivation of your paid subscription in the future.
Alternatively, if you let us know, we can automatically downgrade you to the free subscription at your next renewal date. Your subscription will remain active at its current level until the end of the billing period that you’ve already paid for. We do not offer refunds.
What is the difference between a group, audience, and membership?
A group is your overall team/workspace and is made up of all the people you have invited/added. For example, you can create one group, add everyone within your organisation and then segment (as part of the Pro plan). Or alternatively you could create various groups based on all the different teams - with various people in each group, based upon your needs.
Audience just means people, essentially the amount of seats you can have within any group. Membership in this instance means how many groups you can be part of as an individual upon the Campfire platform. E.g. as a member, you can join all sorts of groups, your current work team, alumni, friends, and even family.
How many polls can I ask with a free plan?
You can ask as many polls as you like, the only limit with a free subscription is that you will only be able to see up to 100 results at any given period.
We want to add some new users to our group, how will we be charged?
Once a new member joins your (paid subscription) group, you’ll be billed a one-off, pro-rata charge - to cover the remainder of your current billing period.
Do you offer discounts for charities, not-for-profit organisations, and/or educational institutions?
